About

Hello Kind Reader,

If you’ve been with me for a while, you’ll know this blog started out back in 2007 being all about weight issues.  Mine, yours, everyone’s (http://www.heavyme.blogspot.com/).  Hence the tag line, Shit Could Get Weighty. After a couple years of that, I felt the need to branch out a bit in my subject matter, but I still wanted to talk about weighty issues, so I started this mishmash of a blog in December of 2009.

Over the past year I’ve noticed that there are some topics to which I’m continually drawn, so I’ve finally set up some categories on the blog:  Sex, Politics, Religion and the catch all category Everything Else.  These categories order themselves based on how many posts are in them–clearly, so far, I like to talk about sex!

Sex, politics and religion are not considered dinner table conversation in polite company; but they are almost always the most interesting things to talk about.  Most of us have pretty set ideas about what we think is right and wrong when it comes to these topics and I love disturbing that sort of shit.

I encourage comments because I like to hear points of view that differ from my own–even when I don’t agree with them.  You can comment anonymously or loud and proud–whatever makes you feel most able to speak your mind.  If you’ve commented before your comments will show up right away; if you’re  new to the game or are posting anonymously, I’ll have to approve your comments.  So far I’ve approved every comment that wasn’t clearly spam.

Weird bit of trivia:  someone else out there already has a wordpress blog under the title “heavyme” but their url is “heavyme.wordpress.com” — so just beware, that one’s not mine.

If you’re not comfy using the RSS feed on the blog and would like to be added to the mailing list, or just want to shoot e-mails to me, just drop me a line at heavymefanatics@gmail.com and I’ll hook you up.

Thanks for continuing to take this ride with me!  May shit remain weighty.
