Luckily the plan is to keep the ovaries. They’d only be removed if there was some sort of risk attached to keeping them. So here’s to staving off dementia–yikes!

This morning there was an item on the radio on early menopause due to ovary removal and a possible link with dementia later on. So hang on to those ovaries.

Yay to no anemia indeed! Luckily the early menopause is only for these few months between surgeries while I’m on Lupron. After the surgery I’m supposed to go back to having cycles but just without he bleeding. Can’t wait!

Well I am happy for you that you will no linger be anemic!! Haha. And I’m counting down those days with you. I don’t know how you’ve done it all this time. I remember telling my cousin about you and your super tampons and super pads. Geez. And while losing your uterus and having to go thru early menopause is no picnic I hope that having no period is your silver lining.

Haha, so true. I can’t believe I never seriously considered this. I’m going shopping this weekend! My swelly belly desperately needs accommodation!

Thanks much for the affirmation! If I wear those two pairs of pants into the ground (with a sprinkling of leggings and sweats–that goodness for casual work places) so be it. I won’t be putting my belly in pain again. There is a handy product made especially for women to use with unbuttoned pants during pregnancy–I believe it’s called a Bella Band. Might be worth picking one up so that you can work with ease!

Don’t you worry about those jeans! I’m five weeks out, and after a couple hours of wearing jeans, I usually unzip them to accommodate swelly belly. I’m probably going back to work in a couple weeks, and am already worrying about finding pants that fit. I mean, I can’t unbutton when I get uncomfortable at work. Take it slow, and wear the pants that fit. I’ve been in sweats all day, and my belly is thanking me for it!
